Trimspa Ephedra Free Trimspa is now ephedra free. Ephedra was banned in the United States and Trimspa replaced the ephedra with hoodia gordonii. Hoodia Gordonii comes from the hoodia plant which is a cactus like succulent found in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa. The SANS tribesmen used the hoodia plant as a supplement while on long hunting trips into the desert because food was scarce. They would eat or chew on the stems of the plant and could go for several days without food and water. Scientists learned that the tribesmen used it for medicinal purposes as well plus they all stayed slim. There were years of study of the hoodia plant and scientists finally figured out which properties in the plant was the part that worked to keep the people feeling full and quenching their thirst. They named the property P57. Only weight loss pills with the pure Hoodia Gordonii (P57) are from the true Hoodia plant. There are many products on the market which claim to be Hoodia Gordonii and actually have very little or no Hoodia in them. There should be proof certificates available from the company to prove the Hoodia in fact came from South Africa. There are also many varieties of Hoodia plant and not all of them contain the P57. The Hoodia plant is protected by the African Government so there are farms growing the plants so there will be enough for the supply and demand. The Hoodia Gordonii diet pills can work alone as a weight loss aid so other ingredients are not necessary. Trimspa sales have been declining for the past three years and some feel that is because the pills are not doing what the company claims they will. There are lawsuits and complaints against the company and the Federal Trade Commission fined the company for false advertising and not having the scientific proof to back up their statements made about what their products could do. Anna Nicole Smith was hired as the company’s spokesperson in 2003 after she made the statement that she had lost 69 pounds while taking the Trimspa diet pills. The company gained sales for about two years with Anna as their spokesperson. She appeared in commercials and banner ad campaigns It was also learned that she had taken other aids as well as the Trimspa diet pills when she lost the 69 pounds. This did not set too well with some people when they heard it because they believed in Anna. Anna Nicole was named first in some of the lawsuits against Trimspa. This was thought to be because she acted as their spokesperson for the company. There are still some lawsuits pending so the future of the company is unknown. All Text Copyright © dmcrecycling.com |
